So does a hat make you look good? Not so good? Dorky? Weird? A little odd? There are a lot of reasons why one hat will look great on you and another may make you look not so good.
Everybody has opinions, and here is one of mine: Everybody needs an attractive, effective, protective hat they can feel comfortable wearing in public.
The worst sunburn I’ve gotten in a long, long time, happened several years ago, and I needed a wide brim fedora. I sat in the brilliant sunlight for several hours, sans headgear, while my daughter graduated with her Masters Degree from Middlebury Institute in Monterey, California. It was hot and I sweated, baked and sizzled in my folding chair on the lawn. My forehead, nose, ears and neck ended up lobster red, and I was peeling dead skin off my face and forehead for several days afterward.
